Most metals will experience a natural oxidation with time. To reduce external flaws, keep jewelry free from contact with chemicals and household products and store in a cool, dry location.

To prevent tarnishing

I recommend Hagerty Silversmith’s Cloth. These zippered soft cloth pouches help reduce tarnishing and are ideal for keeping jewelry free of dust, debris, and scratches while stored.

To clean

I recommend using Peaknip, Mayflower or Sunshine regularly to keep pieces cleaned, buffed and looking their best.

For deeply tarnished items

Try Wright’s Silver Cream and Wrights Brass Cream.

Note: Do not wash metal or jewelry cloth as the washing process can remove important agents and compounds in the cloth.
